The only problem I can see deviantart having with this piece is if the cartoon character is underage (I know -- stupid, right?) I've known other artists that have had their account actually taken down simply for posting a nude drawing of cartoon characters that were underage (and she didn't know they were).
Anyone who reports this for sexual content as described above is just freakin' stupid! Keep up the awesome work -- can't wait to see more!
I've had a nude Shampoo image taken down for that. I mean come on, if that's the case, every nude picture of Sonic the Hedgehog characters should also be taken down - they are animals being sexualized as children, aren't they?
If a person can't re-draw a character with them being an adult in mind, and draw them AS AN ADULT, then what's the issue? If i had drawn them nude as children in a sexual way, then yes, my work would rightfully be removed, and probably should be burned, haha.
But i didn't. And so the argument only makes sense to those who wish to spread negativity.
Because there ARE people in this world who are disturbed by big squishy women. They shouldn't be allowed to attack those who like them, but neither should we be allowed to attack them. Don't let yourself become drawn into that, or you'll cheapen the message you're trying to send.
But i understand your concern, it's just a royal piss off to have something so smile-inspiring to be taken down by someone's negative outlook on life. You have to wonder if they'd complain about violent imagery in the same way...
And i don't want to bring it down to be negative with my words, either, but it's just bloody ridiculous. I can understand the raunchy stuff, but Jasmine and Aladdin? Come on people. There's being sensitive and there's being intentionally malicious...
I know you understand that, and i will probably edit out the negativity, but yah. I'm still fumin' about it to much, hehe.
