Ever wonder why the Moon becomes a sliver of itself every month? Well, Celeste MoonBiter floats around space, looking for some juicey moons to snack on ... The Moons grow back, so she has an endless supply if she needs it!

Now, i've done 2 of these negativized images before, but this time i wanted to incorporate the most beautiful form in the world: a Big Beautiful Woman ... so i devised this Moon Goddess ... or Moon Biter, hehe. I drew this with regular mechanical pencil on white paper, with the intent of making it negative with this crummy little graphics program i have.

I love how it turned out pretty much exactly as i'd hoped!! I even googled the image of the Moon so i could reverse it, print it and draw from it, so that it would revert back to as close to the real moon as possible, with the discoloration of its face being as proper a shade of gray as possible. Could be a little lighter, but all in all i think the moon turned out well! (Even though i could start to use a compass to make it more circular, heh ... but i don't like impeding my work with tools other than my hands and my eyes).

I wanted her body to seem transparent, but not her hair, and obviously not the moon, heh So you can see the stars behind her through her whole self like a dimensional portal or something. I just thought it was a cute idea, hehe!

And i'm not trying to make the statement that beautiful fat girls are fat because of food ... as we should all know that is not always the case. I am really against any unnatural losing or gaining of weight, and i don't joke about fat girls eating. This is just a cute idea. If i were into skinny chicks, i'd have drawn the same thing. I hate it when people automatically assume i'm only drawing a fat chick because i'm showing her eating ... it's insulting to me and to beautiful, full-figured goddesses everywhere! That's why i try to avoid including food with my lovely plump ladies ... but when i DO draw them with food, or as food, it is because of that character's love for food ... as people of all sizes can agree food is great!

Sorry i had to turn this political, there ... hehe. So, at least what do you think of Miss Moonbiter?

Sweet Selene! I love it! ♥

"i've done 2 of these negativized images before" - I am curious to know though, did you draw this with graphite and switch it in a programme, or did you actually use black paper and white graphite to draw with? I would think that graphite on white paper and switching in a program would be easier (I have terrible luck with using black backgrounds unless it's in painting), but I am curious as to more of your technique on this one...

If life gives you lemons, then by all means, squeeze them into the eyes of your enemy.

It looks fantastic--you're negativized efforts are really impressive, and i think the stars shining through really make the picture and the subject a thing of beauty. (I also love that one star in place of a nipple.)

And seeing that bite taken out of the moon just make me think of that The Tick episode, where the planet-eater takes a bite out of the moon before he leaves.

Oh, and I also love the legend you've made. I'm a huge fan of folklore and the tale you wove is absolutely perfect. You could write a whole little legend about her!

(sorry, it's in two replies--I realized I had more to say after I hit "send")

Thank you! And yes, i thought i mentioned it in the description .... oh yes, here it is: "I drew this with regular mechanical pencil on white paper, with the intent of making it negative with this crummy little graphics program i have."
I would like to try with black paper ... but i'm not sure if white pencil crayon (or colored pencil as some call them) would work on black paper ... would i need a special kind of pencil, or a pastel? Chalk?
Hehe, well, thank you again!

Thank you very much! I'm so glad you appreciate that! Hehe, i haven't seen that episode of The Tick (my parents made me go to karate saturday mornings in the 90s, so i never got to watch many saturday morning cartoons, dammit!! But i wanted to watch X-Men and Spiderman and Gargoyles!!!!), but it would have been cool to see ...

Hehe, thank you! I try to make sure all my pieces have little stories or legends if they are mythical creatures, hehe! I'm happy you appreciated that, too!
