I've had this image in my head since i watched the Doors Movie for the first time in years, possibly last year or the year before, when it started being sold on special DVD. There was a random scene of some dancing hippies, and there was this one guy with a huge beard with flowers poked into it. I instantly thought, "I HAVE to draw that guy for the Flowers theme!" So thoughts started churning and bubbling and boiling, and he became a hippy faery, and i wanted a dancing hippy faery chick, too, so i had that pose in mind as well.
But since the first time the idea hit my head, i never had any confidence that i could do it. But with my simplified colouring style of late, as well as my new re-discovery of the wonders of drawing on printer-paper, i finally had the nerve to draw it!
For those of you who remember i was looking for male nude stock photos, his was the pose i was looking for - but i could never find it. I decided to say screw it, and just draw it without reference - i wish i had used a reference, though. Sitting cross-legged is always difficult to draw for me ... i never know where to put the legs, and the hips in proportion to the torso, and all that - but it ain't too bad, i suppose. And how about that, a guy that doesn't look exactly like me!
Heh... I like the flower bearded guy... that's awesome.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
