Garrett's Girls 1

I call this Garrett's Girls 1, because there are a lot of different interesting women in the Garrett, PI series by Glen Cook, but i am not certain as to whether i'll try to draw any of the others. The rest are mostly normal women, but they're great characters, too - just nothing interesting to draw about them.

Garrett is a Private Eye, sort of film-noir style in a medieval, fantasy setting. The books are brilliant and funny, and witty, and all forms of strange and interesting characters and creatures usually end up running into Garrett, either to hire him, or to get in his way when he's trying to do his job.



Left to Right:

The Silver Sky Elf - In the first novel i read of his, one of the newer ones, this fantasy world was introduced to a Flying saucer and aliens, who were exploring the world in secret, giving brilliant invention ideas to a young nerdy misfit, and testing sexual waters with a few of the main characters, including Garrett himself, haha.

Eleanor - The ghost that spooked Garrett's heart during one of his first jobs. She now resides as a painting above Garrett's desk. In it she's running away, looking in fear back at the viewer, but at something unseen in the foreground, to a mansion in the background with a single light in the window that, depending on when he looks at it, is on or off. He fell in love with the ghost during the job, but learned of her tragic death. She never left Garrett's heart or mind, and he talks to the painting when he's pondering things. It doesn't contain her, but the painting does have a certain magic that'll give her some different emotional expression now and again.

Winger - Lets have the newest book, "Cruel Zinc Melodies" describe her:
'"She" would be Winger, stacked blonde slapped together on an epic scale. As tall as me (Garrett narrates in 1st-person). My friend theoretically....
Winger is a female Saucerhead Tharpe (another character, sort of a big, dumb brute) with more flexible ethics. You don't trust her around the family silver or anything else of value. (hence my inclusion of the jewelled cup she's grabbing). She does try, but she just can\'t resist temptation.'
We\'re first introduced to her as she was hired to kill Garrett, i think. She's a big woman, full of herself and confident she can do anything, but is still kinda limited to being a big clumsy brute. But she's a fun character. I sorta exaggerated her size, but i think it fits her.
