((TRIGGER WARNING)): child abuse, but there is a lesson, and a point...

Would you blame and punish a child for shooting his sister with a gun?
Or would you blame and punish the parent for giving the children guns, telling them not to use them, and then leaving them in a room, WITH the guns, alone, unsupervised?

Alternate Title: "Adam, Eve and Chris."

This is the question you MUST overcome or CHOOSE to ignore to be able to follow the Judeo-Christian story. This is exactly how it looks to anyone who reads the stories honestly, without needing anyone dishonestly spinning it, making it sound good.

Just replace the guns with fruit, the basement with the fall from grace, the upstairs with Eden, the corpse-stuffing with heaven, and the threat of corpse-torture with the threat of Hell.

The sacrifice of Jesus is what brought us the delightful aspect of eternal torture, even though he was never truly sacrificed if he just went back to heaven where he came from.

Yahweh, when you read the story HONESTLY, is the only one to blame for original sin:
He made Adam and Eve without any sense of good or evil, nor the ability to understand the concept of consequences, for a reason right?
He planted the tempting tree of knowledge, specifically pointing it out to the curious new humans, calling attention to it while condemning it as part of his plan, right?
He left them alone with the tree for a reason, right?
(which is impossible for an "infinite" god - meaning he was watching them the entire time and did nothing to stop them, nor did he move the tree somewhere they can't reach)
He then created the one talking snake for a reason, too, right?
(since the devil didn't exist in judaism - only christ brought the devil with him - how kind)

If you can't see that the god of the Hebrews and Christians' does everything he can (tireless attempts, excuses, arbitrary rules and constant degradation of humanity) to make sure we don't ever live with him in the Garden of Eden, or Heaven, that we are anything to him other than disposable play-toys, then you've got major blinders on.

How can anyone respect these characters or this story without intentionally choosing to be ignorant of what it actually endorses?

"I don't despise religious people, i despise what they stand for."

(NOTE: I did NOT write this from any sort of personal experience. The abuse i suffered in life was almost entirely from bullies at school.)

God is the strongest there is. God made Adam and Eve and. keeps them alive. God knows everything and has a plan to lead those who love him into the best he intended for them when he made them. We are the created. We don't have the capacity to understand all of the plan, but none of us are strong enough to oppose him without being destroyed. Nothing surprises him because he knew how creation would turn out when he created it. I think Bruce Almighty demonstrated it well with the finger gag. Bruce his his hands behind his back and dared God to guess how many fingers he's holding up. He holds up seven, and God calls it 7. He drops 2 fingers and throws 5 up, but he's horrified to see he now has seven fingers on one hand. If God says you're guilty, you're guilty. Objectivity is an illusion and we're the marks. Agree quickly or suffer. Those are your only options. At least you know he has our best interests at heart.
