Lose yar trubbles at ye olde Tipsy Wench!!

I have always appreciated the old timey bar wenches and how they look ... i figured it was high time that i drew one!
And as soon as i drew her, i figured, heeyyyy ... this would make an EXCELLENT sign for an old timey Tavern!

Soooo ....

I did some experimenting with colors with the new Derwents i got ... they still don't give enough color that i'd like, but they did the soft background pretty well. The wood and the red frame, and anything that's black was done with the derwents. The red words were done with my Pro Art red, as were the red stripes in the dress, the red bandana and her lips. The color of the ale in the mug was with my Pro Art browns, and the outlining of the mug was with the derwent blue. The barrels were first made with a tan brown in crayola, and then given depth with my Pro Art browns. The red ale pouring out is with a prismacolor mahogany. And the blue in her skirt was a crayola, and i didn't really put much pressure on the Pro Art purple in her blouse.

Oh, and her pink skin was crayola, and a little bit of orange to get that reddish sole on her foot, and a pro art red to rose her cheeks. And her hair is 2 shades of crayola orange.
