Even though he is decades older than me, and logically, barring accidents, he would die before i do - but you know ... he's just always BEEN there... *Crash Test Dummies plays in the background*
Well, i don't mean he's been there FOR me - i was never really a fan, but not a hater, just a casual "laugh at the weirdo" kinda thing - but you know?
But i'm still wondering when i'll ever find out what happened to David Carradine, now that Michael Jackson's going to be on every cover of every Magazine for the next 4 years ... please let his death not be another Princess Di thing ... (I do not try to make jokes about his death - but with his character, it's almost inevitable - but i'm not taking any cheap shots... for now).
I just want to know what Killed "Bill"! Have they finished their investigation yet, have they released anything new? I don't read or watch news very often, and try my damnedest to avoid "Entertainment News" at all costs (why do those shows always have to be so friggin' loud?!?!)
Again, i was never a "true fan" of David Carradine, but after seeing the Kill Bill movies i came to have a bit of a respect for him - the way he was able to coldly, AND warmly play the character of Bill. I know he's a legend of some sort, on some old Kung Fu TV series, but i haven't seen any of them - so, older guys, and guys who are fans of that TV series, feel free to call me a poser - i just like David Carradine because of Kill Bill.
It still makes me more interested in him than in Michael Jackson, that poor train-wreck - or if the molestation stuff WAS true, then good riddance.
He really wasn't all that special, musically. He made some huge hits in the 80s - that i do enjoy - but after that he stopped being relevant, except to the fans from the 80s who indoctrinated their kids into his 80s material. He had a huge fanbase, though, which kinda confuses me, but doesn't - because people run on mob-mentality and will like anything they're told to like, even if it's not that great in the grand scheme of things (i guess it's an evolutionary trait to make sure people share interests and goals to survive as a species better, part of why people are so easily suckered into religion - they're religious because of evolution! Bet they don't like that fact, hah!).
"Disco Duck and Fleetwood Mac,
Playing out of my 8-track,
Michael Jackson still was black,
Those were the daaaaaaaayyyyyyyyssss!" - Homer and Marge
And blah blah, Farah Fawcet, whatever. She always creeped me out, and i never understood how she could have been a sex icon with that face of hers (i know, i know, everyone's beautiful, but we all have our preferences, and shouldn't be shunned for them if they are natural, and neither should people be offended by someone's preferences, because everyone has a set of physical characteristics they don't like, as well - and to my preferences, she was hideous). I know her life wasn't the greatest, but frankly i don't care, and never did. Her life never affected mine, and i care about her dying as much as anyone cares about some random person they don't know dying. People die, only her family and friends need to care. I don't.
But yah ... Michael Jackson dying ... it's just ... you know? You never would think you'd live to see it, no matter how old or young you are ... But beyond that, i don't care.
I also don't really care about David Carradine, but i care more since he was in a movie i really like. I'm not beyond pop-influence myself, you see.
I wish people would care this much when people who have come up with cures for the big illnesses die.
So, anybody know what Killed Bill yet?
(And if any of you say the 5-Finger Death Punch, i'm gonna high-five you before i smack you)
Devious Comments
...*mumbles quietly to self*
Uh other than the 5-FINGER DEATH PUNCH...I don't think anyone has any idea ._.;; but I don't keep up much with these things anyway.
It makes me sad that everyone else is going to be pushed back because Michael Jackson died. It's not that surprising, if you think about it. He was sickly and had a weak heart. -_-
The only thing I find terrible about his death is we're going to have to hear "Billy Jean" "Thriller" and "Beat it" a million more times than we would normally have to.

And they say I should be locked up.... pffffff...
I never saw Farah Fawcett as all that attractive, glad to see I'm not the only one. I am genuinely curious as to how David Carradine died, and I heard today that Billy Mays died as well. Although I'm none too sad about that. The only person I hated more than him was the shamwow guy.

I would love to know what happened to David Carradine. I wasn't around to see him in his apparently epic kung fu days (my dad was though and he sure let me know about it too) but because Kill Bill 1 + 2 were some of my favourite movies it slightly dampered my day to know he died. And in such an awful way too. Bill was epic.

Sorrow rebuild me as I step out of the light.
Misery strengthen me as I say my goodbyes.
I heal my wounds with grief, and dream of you.
... and weep myself alive.
