Heaven is for Selfish People

I think one of the main reasons christians despise atheism is because it means nature doesn't owe us anything.  They think god owes them salvation, an after-death paradise, and grants wishes (prayers) like a genie.

It's always been about selfishness.  "What can *I* get out of this deal?"

You build up a religion that offers after-death rewards, and prayers answered - like a bad-tasting cereal that can only get sales by including a popular toy* - and all you'll get are the most selfish people on the planet as believers.  The type of people who can be convinced that an obviously phony after-death reward has more value than the concerns of real people, living now.

*(I'm talking about Shreddies and their Ninja Turtle stickers when i was a kid.... Shreddies are kinda gross and get super mushy. I never liked them, but i asked for them because they had Ninja Turtles stickers!  And then I used to feel sorry for the people who worked at the company because the cereal they make is so bad, they had to offer a prize in order to get any sales... But some people like them *shrug*)
